Touch and Netball

We have been learning to use a present participle in our writing.
Glowing bright yellow, the sun and the crisp morning awaited. My pounding heart was excited ready for the touch tournament. The sun’s long sunshine arms invaded Paterson Park. My pumping blood vessels were in joy.
[The whistle blew]
Dodging through Ngaruawahia, Logan as fast as lightning. ran nearly all the way. Huffing and puffing, Logan lost his breath. He could not breathe. His lungs were about to explode. He made it, dived and scored.
Smiling in joy, and yelling in each other’s faces, we paraded around Patterson Park saying we won.
