We have been
learning to use present participles in our writing.
Skipping across
the brittle road, Little Red Riding
Hood met the great threat to the forest - the big bad wolf.
Grinning, the wolf
said, "Where are you going my dear?"
The wolf said,
"I’m going to my lonely grandma."
Smiling, the wolf
said, "Where does she live my dear?"
"She
lives in a small house up that hill."
Running to the
little house up the hill, the wolf opened
the door.
"Get out,
you filthy thing!" said the grandma.
Tying the poor
grandma up, the wolf threw her
into the closet, put on her clothes and hopped in the bed.
Opening the door, Little Red Riding came in. "I
bought you some cookies."
"Thanks,
my dear. Would you please shut the window?"
Out of the
blue, a man with a knife jumped through the window and killed the wolf and
opened the closet and untied the grandmother. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
